About the class
Taking vital signs, CPR, trauma, bleeding, choking, burns, seizures, allergic reactions, poisoning and more are covered in this thorough and interactive class that allows you to practice on stuffed animals. Helpful pet training tips, disaster preparedness, and personal safety precautions are also covered to help pet owners identify and minimize risks.
You'll learn and get to practice skills on compliant stuffed animals and a real CPR dummy dog.
The class is taught by certified instrtuctor and Waggytail Rescue founder Holly DeRito who was inspirrd to teach after rescuing a drowned dog from the Prospect Park pond in 2019.
Proceeds help support NYC animal rescue.
