Our Story
The Beginning
Holly DeRito grew up on a small farm, and always had animals in her life. After moving to NYC at age 20 she began volunteering witth shelters, and feeling she wanted to do more, began her own rescue group Waggytail Rescue in 2003, officially 501 (c) 3 in 2004.
The Growth
After successfully administering CPR to a drowned dog in Prospect Park, Holly decided to get certtified and teach pet first aid and CPR to the publilc. She also has has certification as a veterinary assistant and in animal Reiki.
